Great presentation, thanks! Don't forget training for clinicians to help them connect and communicate effectively with patients, once the technology is working as it should. The Institute for Healthcare Communication will be releasing an online course on clinician-patient skills for virtual video visits.

We have challenges bringing PCPs onboard with telehealth (vs. BHMPs). Any tips for getting PCPs more comfortable with practicing physical medicine via Telehealth?
Paul Moniz

What can be done to standardize quality? Lots of patients have experienced unevenness with telemedicine visits. Some doctors appear to rush thru visits, others try to more meaningfully engage. Also, for some sensitive medical conditions, Telehealth may have a chilling affect on amount of info shared. Potential solutions?

what I know many rape crisis centers are measuring is access to telehealth from the perspective of clients/patients who don't have internet/video call access. How are folks measuring and responding to this need?

You have mentioned the 45 second survey what are the questions you ask the provider-what are they? Could you connect, hear, see, feel private and tech check.

Sharing sensitive info over telehealth is a mixed bag. Telehealth has been very successful with mental health counseling if there is trust and privacy. In domestic violence situations as an example you cannot have the perpetrator in the next room. So ask what would help make them feel safe and remember to take the time to engage. Happy to discuss further.
